The Gauteng Department of Health and Social Development will tomorrow honour social workers in commemoration of World Social Work Day at Silver Star Casino, Mogale City.
Under the theme 'Social Work' voices responding to global crisis: Together we develop the Agenda, this day will focuses on social work contributions to society. The event will also look at the on-going dialogue about how to address challenging social conditions worldwide.
The event, hosted by the department together with the National Association of Social Workers in South Africa NASW (SA), National Department of Social Development, and the South African Council for Social Services Professions will see Social Workers and Social Auxiliary Workers recommitting themselves to the ethics and conduct of their profession.
