Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Transport will tomorrow (Wednesday) meet with the Department of Transport and the Airports Company of South Africa to look at the state of readiness of all airports for the 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament.

The Portfolio Committee on Human Settlements will be visiting Joe Slovo/N2 Gateway residents to find out about challenges encountered by the community on the N2 Gateway houses. The visit follows Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA’s) investigation into alleged irregularities within the project. The visit is part of the committee’s oversight programme on entities of the Department of Human Settlement.
The committee will depart from the Poorthuis entrance tomorrow at 09h00.
