Cuban musical troupe in Limpopo province

The Cuban Musical Troupe, a mostly female band, will be staging a free performance open to all members of the public. The performance to be staged is part of the ongoing celebrations of the Africa Month and has been made possible by the bilateral agreement concluded by and between the South African and Cuban governments.

This group has served as a school of prestigious musicians of Pinar de Rio. Their musical strength is based on young graduates of the Cuban Music School and is accentuated by the talent and the prestige of their director.

Their repertoire will include Latin American Dance which is one of the popular dance genres amongst young people of our country.

The performance will be held as follows:

Date: 17 May 2011
Time: 14h00
Venue: Nirvana Community Hall

The selection of the music they play has a very exquisite and aesthetic style, together with sensual and scenic projection, which they play with a pleasant Cuban flavour. At all times in their performances, they defend and advance the most genuine values of the Cuban Musical Culture.
