The Cross Border Road Transport Agency to host a two day Cross Border Road Transport Indaba

The Cross Border Road Transport Agency (C-BRTA) will be hosting a two-day Cross Border Road Transport Indaba from 18 to 19 October 2011.

The theme for the Indaba is "Changing Gears - Transcending Borders" which aims to promote the role that the C-BRTA and cross border road transport plays in promoting economic development within the SADC region. The Indaba further aims to create a platform for discussion and debate in moving the industry to new levels of operational efficiencies.

The indaba will draw the attendance of various transport industry stakeholders and experts from South Africa and the SADC region as well as from organisations such as World Bank, SADC Secretariat on Transport, the USAID Southern Africa Trade Hub and the Development Bank of SA. The Indaba will attract between 250 to 300 people. The Minister of Transport, Honourable S'bu Ndebele is expected to deliver a keynote address which is titled Regional Integration: unlocking the economic potential of the SADC Region.
