The CRL Rights Commission celebrates the 3rd annual International Mandela Day under the theme ‘Each one of us can do something to make this world a better place’

The CRL Rights Commission will join the rest of the international community, Nelson Mandela centre of memory and National Department of Education with “94 Projects for Madiba” in celebration of Dr Mandela’s 94th birthday on 18 July 2012.

The CRL Rights Commission further endorses the International Mandela Day under the theme "Each one of us can do something to make this world a better place. South Africans recall the famous words of then former President Nelson Mandela in his elderly days when he said “I will use the rest of my life to help the poor overcome the problems confronting them - poverty is the greatest challenge facing humanity”

The CRL Rights Commission therefore calls upon Cultural, Religious and Language Communities to dedicate their 67 minutes on 18 July 2012 by creating better place for the elderly people and vulnerable young people.

The CRL Rights Commission will spend 67 minutes on the 27th of July 2012 with a historical tour to the former house of Dr Nelson Mandela in Orlando West and engage the elderly senior citizens in honour of the 67 years Dr Nelson Mandela gave in service and sacrifice.
