The Councillor Induction Programme will be taking place as from 27 June 2011 until 16 July 2011 in all Districts of the province. All one thousand three hundred and nineteen councillors (1319) in the province will participate in the Councillor Induction Programme dinner.
The induction programme is aimed at ensuring that the newly elected councillors are capacitated with legislation that guides Local Government, key Municipal processes, developmental Local Government and service delivery to make local government work better.
