Correctional Services gears up for Corrections Week Campaign

The acting Regional Commissioner of the Department of Correctional Services in Gauteng invites you to attend the 2010 edition of the Corrections Week events that will take place around Gauteng province. Corrections Week is high on the Department of Correctional Services Calendar and it aims to create awareness around the various corrective programmes that are driven by the department.

Corrections Week seeks to inculcate knowledge and understanding of the Department’s Correctional System and more importantly to encourage public participation and involvement in corrections and social reintegration of offenders into society as law-abiding citizens.

During the Corrections Week period Correctional Services in Gauteng Region will exhibit offender skills development products or services, witness the official opening of the Parole Board offices, utilisation of offender labour to refurbish dilapidated public facilities, display strategic partnerships to reduce crime in our communities, offender music festival, promotion of visitation to families of offenders, interfaith church service and other pockets of excellence.

Join us for Corrections Week and experience the Correctional System in South Africa.
