The Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs will tomorrow brief the Portfolio Committee on Cooperative Governance on a progress report regarding Operation Clean Audit, an initiative aimed at ensuring that the country’s municipalities receive clean audits by 2014.
The committee will also be briefed on Section 32 reports and progress made with regards to the Matatiele demarcation issue. Matatiele residents are unhappy that they have been incorporated into the Eastern Cape. They prefer remaining part of KwaZulu-Natal.
