Purpose
The purpose of developing a sector specific generic functional structure is to provide a framework for the development of provincial organisational structures and to ensure that sector specific organisational structures are aligned to the mandate and strategic objectives of the departments.
The purpose of the workshop is to offer participants an opportunity to contribute to the development of the generic structures and the future application of such structures in departments, as well as to capacitate participants on organisational design principles and processes.
Expected output
Generic structure for the Education sector.
Intended audience
Departments are requested to nominate four managers (two responsible for support functions including organisational design and two for line function components, of which one should be responsible for district operations) to attend the consultative workshop.
