Sport, Arts and Culture hosts School Sport Indaba in Kempton Park, 14 to 15 Sept

The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, under the leadership of Minister Honourable Zizi Kodwa, will host a School Sport Indaba on 14 and 15 September 2023.

The School Sport Indaba seeks to unify the school sport sector, and to develop a national programme for South Africa that is benchmarked against the world’s most effective school sport programmes.

The School Sport Indaba will help to strengthen Government’s focus on grassroots sports development through early identification and nurturing of sporting talent.

There will be over 30 organisations represented at the Schools Sport Indaba. This gathering will also see teacher unions, sports federations, international bodies, and governments gather to come up with a blueprint for South African school sport.
