South African Local Government Association hosts 6th National Municipal Legal Practitioners’ Forum, 12 Mar

The South African Local Government Association (SALGA) is set to host the 6th National Municipal Legal Practitioners’ Forum (NMLPF), scheduled for 12 -13 March 2026, in Cape Town.

This two-day forum will bring together municipal legal professionals and leading voices from the legal community nationwide. Attendees will engage in dynamic discussions, share critical insights and recent case law, and explore innovative solutions to the complex legal issues facing local government.

Designed to foster collaboration and excellence, the forum will highlight best practices and drive impactful conversations on ethical governance, compliance, and the future of legal leadership in municipalities.

This year’s theme, “Empowering Municipal Legal Practitioners as Drivers of Ethical Leadership, Compliance and Service Delivery Excellence in Strengthening Legal Governance within the Local Government Sector”, underscores SALGA’s commitment to advancing ethical standards and robust legal frameworks in local government.
