SKA shared Sky project

You are invited to a media briefing on ‘Shared Sky’. The ‘Shared Sky’ project brings together indigenous artists from South Africa and Australia, in a joint exhibition celebrating humanity's most ancient cultural wisdom, alongside one of the world's greatest scientific and engineering endeavours - the Square Kilometre Array radio telescope project.

Through this exhibition, these artists join together to share their stories about the sky and learn from each other in celebration of their differences and common ancestry.

Date: Sunday, 21 September 2014
Time: 10:00 - 12:00
Venue: SKA SA Project Office (3rd Floor, The Park, Park Road, Pinelands), Cape Town

You will have the opportunity at this media briefing to interview John Parkington (Professor of Archaeology at the University of Cape Town), Jeni Couzyn (Director of the Nieu Bethesda Centre), as well as two of the artists, Sandra Sweers and Gerald Mei.

Confirm your attendance/interest in viewing the web stream.
