President Cyril Ramaphosa will on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, deliver the keynote address at the 170th Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry Annual Gala Dinner in KwaZulu-Natal.
Founded in 1856, the Chamber is Southern Africa’s oldest and largest metropolitan chamber. The dinner will be held under the theme “Building Confidence Together”, bringing together business leaders, entrepreneurs and public sector representatives.
The government and the chamber have recently partnered in working together in the interest of the city and eThekwini residents.
In April 2024, President Ramaphosa established the Presidential eThekwini Working Group in partnership with the Chamber to address challenges including water supply interruptions, ageing infrastructure, crime, declining tourism and port inefficiencies.
