North West traditional leaders join hands with government to fast track service delivery

In a move to support programmes of government especially in rural communities in the North West province, traditional leaders will as from today engage with the North West Provincial Government to discuss key service delivery issues.

The meeting which will take place as from Tuesday, 20 November 2012 ending on Thursday, 22 November 2012 and will see Members of Executive Committee presenting their departments’ programmes to allow traditional leaders to make inputs for purposes of proper alignment, co-ordination and synergy by all stakeholders involved.

Kick-starting the meetings will be the MEC for Human Settlement and Public Safety, Nono Maloi who will touch on crime statistics and the extend of crime in rural areas, issues pertaining to Public Safety and Human Settlements, MEC for Social Development women, children and persons with disabilities, Mosetsanagape Mokomele - Mothibi who will present on issues of Disability, community participation and all matters relating to Forums on either Non-Profit Organisations (NPO’s) and home based care and MEC for Finance, Paul Sebegoe who will present the budget and financial adjustments.
