The Department of Water Affairs would like to invite you to an historic workshop to discuss the draft National Water Resource Strategy 2 (NWRS 2) which seeks to discuss the water challenges faced by South Africans. Among others the workshop will discuss the security supply, reviewing the regulatory regime, skills and capacity building, institutional arrangements and the role that the private sector can play in the water sector.
The NWRS 2 is currently subject to public consultation over a period of three months and the views expressed during this period will be incorporated in the final document to be launched by the Minister of Water Affairs, Ms Edna Molewa, MP, at the beginning of 2013. There will be a media briefing/ engagement by water experts to explain the NWRS 2 in detail.
