The Minister of Small Business Development, Stella Tembisa Ndabeni, will lead a Creative Sector Consultative Engagement at the Durban International Convention Centre on 5 March 2026.
Hosted under the banner CreativeBiz Nexus, with the theme: “Fueled through Creativity. Powered by Hustle.”, the engagement builds on consultations initiated in Limpopo in September 2025 by the Department of Small Business Development (DSBD) and the Small Enterprise Development and Finance Agency (SEDFA).
CreativeBiz Nexus serves as a dynamic platform that connects talent, enterprise, policy, and investment to unlock sustainable growth in the creative economy.
The key objectives of this consultative process are to:
- Engage creative practitioners, entrepreneurs and ecosystem partners on opportunities across the creative value chain.
- Identify barriers to entry and growth for creative MSMEs.
- Explore practical funding mechanisms and non-financial support models.
- Consult role players on potential creative-sector-aligned funding instruments.
- Strengthen collaboration between government, industry experts and creative entrepreneurs.
Stakeholders across music, arts and crafts, film, television and digital content, as well as fashion and design, are expected to participate and directly engage policymakers and enterprise development ecosystem partners at this catalytic gathering.
