Women in the Eastern Cape Province face significant challenges, including Gender-Based Violence and femicide (GBVF), limited access to resources like Land, Finance, and Formal Employment, which are exacerbated by patriarchal norms and poverty. The call for economic empowerment of women through interventions such as Imbokodo yabathembu provides a platform for economic inclusion, transformation, and participation to promote gender equality and support the realisation of women's economic justice.
