Transport Minister Ms. Dipuo Peters together with Deputy Minister Ms. Sindisiwe Chikunga, will host a Synopsis Update Colloquium on the National Transport Master Plan (NATMAP) 2050 on Friday, 30th October 2015 at the Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg, Johannesburg.
The NATMAP 2050 is a framework that provides guidance for transport planning and investment in the transport sector. The main aim of the colloquium is to provide feedback on the NATMAP 2050 and how it is aligned to the National Development Plan (NDP) 2030 and other government’s strategic plans as well as to seek inputs from transport stakeholders before re-submission to cabinet for final approval.
Minister Peters will deliver a key note address at the Colloquium that will be followed by a presentation of the overall NATMAP 2050 Synopsis Update framework. There will then be a panel discussion on the Transport Master Plan with the participation of the South African Local Government Association (SALGA) and the Gauteng Province amongst other panellists.
