Western Cape to host Agriculture Sector Energy Summit
Tomorrow, 22 June 2023, the Western Cape Provincial MEC of Agriculture, Dr Ivan Meyer, will open the Agricultural Sector’s Energy Summit at the Goudini Spa in Rawsonville.
The two-day summit brings together agricultural stakeholders to assess and develop opportunities and solutions in response to Eskom’s rolling blackouts, a critical constraint to the sustainability of the agricultural sector.
The Western Cape Government’s key focus is to establish an enabling environment for the sector to contribute to economic growth jobs and food security.
