Gauteng Legislature hosts Men's Forum mentorship session with Gauteng boys, 17 to 18 Oct

GPL’S Men Forum aims to groom young boys to better men

Gauteng Legislature’s (GPL) Men's Forum will on the 17-18 October 2020 host a mentorship session with young boys from across the province in an effort to mould and groom them into tomorrow’s responsible men.

This is necessitated by the devastating scourge of violence against women and children, and other ill acts perpetrated by men in society.

The programme will see boys from different backgrounds receive guidance from Members of the GPL Men’s Forum, credible leaders as well as men of influence, including: Shakes Mashaba who has many years under his belt as a soccer coach - a sport known for taking boys off the streets and instilling in them good values and a sense of responsibility.

The programme will be conducted as an overnight camp, where Members of the Forum will bring in boys for mentorship and motivation as well as participating in various fun activities.

The GPL Men’s Forum Led by Honourable Lesego Makhubela consists of male Members of the Provincial Legislature (MPLs) representing various political parties as well as administrative Staffers.

Details of the mentorship session are as follows:
Date:  17 to 18 October 2020
Time:  12h00
Venue:  Misty Hills Country Hotel, Conference & Spa, Muldersdrift

Members of the media are invited to cover the session.
