Free State hosts Communication Policy and Media Engagement workshop, 15 Sep

During its ordinary Sitting on the 9 September 2015, the Executive Council of the Free State Provincial Government approved the hosting of a workshop on Communication Policy and Media Engagement that will be facilitated by the Provincial Government Communication Services and attended by all Provincial Government Communicators, Local Government Communicators, as well State Entities in the Free State for the period of 15 to the 17 September 2015 at Phillip Sanders Resort. 

The Premier of the Free State, Ace Magashule, MECs, and Executive Mayors, Mayors, CEOs of Entities, and Heads of National Departments in the Free State will join the Communicators in interaction with the Editors of National and Local media on the morning of Tuesday, 15 September 2015 from 09:00 a.m. until 12:00 midday.  The Premier of the Free State, Ace Magashule will officially open the workshop.  

“This workshop is essential in the efforts of organising a communications machinery that must be the ears, the eyes and the face of government.  It is essential to organise Government Communications Machinery that must ensure that the government of the people listens to the people and responds to their needs” said Premier Magashule.  

“An ANC government has done much to improve the living conditions of our people by giving them access to social amenities and economic opportunities, these must be communicated by government to the people all the time. This opportunity is for us as the Executive to interact with our government communicators and understand what can make their work to be much more excellent than it currently is”, emphasised Premier Magashule.
