Deputy Minister John Jeffery addresses national colloquium on constitutional education, 30 Jul

The Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development (DoJ&CD), Mr John Jeffery, will deliver a keynote address during a two-day national colloquium on constitutional education and awareness. The colloquium is scheduled to start on Thursday, 30 July 2015 at 09h30 in Saint George Hotel, Irene.

The colloquium was initiated by the DoJ&CD in partnership with the Foundation for Human Rights (FHR), with the aim of facilitating discussion and partnerships with all relevant stakeholders in the promotion of human rights. The session will be attended by various stakeholders comprised of government departments, civil society organisations (CSOs) and private sector .

It is envisaged that the colloquium will lead to the development of a coordinated and integrated approach to constitutional education amongst government departments, private sector, institutions of higher learning and civil society organisations.

Delegates will also explore the use of modern using modern technology applications and making it accessible at the finger tips of the people.
