Deputy Minister Buti Manamela addresses 2023 African Nuclear Physics Conference, 29 Nov

Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Mr Buti Manamela, will deliver the keynote address and participate at 2023 African Nuclear Physics Conference (ANPC) at the Kruger National Park on Wednesday, 29 November 2023.

The ANPC was established in 2019 as a biennial conference that brings together local and international experts with areas of specialisation that are linked to the research infrastructure available at NRF-iThemba LABS.

In addition, it creates a platform where young African researchers and students are able to benefit from interactions with leading international researchers.

The conference combines presentations on a range of topics such as nuclear astrophysics, neutron physics, new facilities and instrumentation, nuclear structure, reactions, and dynamics, and applied nuclear physics by experts, with a workshop dedicated to exploring opportunities in knockout reaction studies.

The media is welcome to attend the opening and any other part of the conference.
