Defence hosts Military Information Communications Technology Symposium of South Africa, 3 to 7 Feb

The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) and State Information Technology Agency (SITA) host the sixth Military Information Communications Technology Symposium of South Africa

The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) in collaboration with the State Information Technology Agency (SITA) will host the sixth Military Information Communications Technology Symposium of South Africa (MICSSA), from 3 until 7 February 2014; where evolving information technology will be discussed at great length.

All the proceedings are scheduled to commence at 8h00. The rise of cybercrime and threats have enjoined the information and technology companies and state information technology agencies across the world to be ahead of threats and criminals in this area; by making sure that procedures, policies and regulations are in place to deal with such criminality.

MICSSA and SITA, will seek innovative measures to curb this steadfastly growing trend and practice wherein speakers and delegates from Africa, Europe, Asia and South America will exchange strategies on how to mitigate against this which continue to be devil many state agencies and companies.

On Tuesday 4 February 2014 around 08h00, Dr Sam Gulube, Secretary for Defence, is expected to shed light on Military Information Communication Technology Within A Rapidly Evolving Cyber World.
