B-BBEE Commission and CGE to host a roundtable discussion on mainstreaming women’s economic empowerment through B-BBEE
The Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) Commission has collaborated with the Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) to host a hybrid dialogue on 31 August 2023, under the theme: Mainstreaming Women’s Economic Empowerment through B-BBEE.
The dialogue forms part of the B-BBEE Commission’ and CGE’ Women’s Month Campaign which aims at bringing together Women leaders under one room to debate policy and practices of mainstreaming women’s economic empowerment.
The dialogue seeks to achieve the following objectives:
- To reflect on policies pertaining to women’s economic empowerment
- To interrogate the gaps found in policies with a view to uplift women
- To explore ideas on how to align existing policies to B-BBEE
- To promote good corporate governance and accountability on women’s economic empowerment
