Acting Premier Wendy Nelson addresses Reconciliation Healing and Renewal Traditional Health Practitioners Summit, 14 to 15 Jun

In its determination to deal with concerns raised by Traditional Health Practitioners in North West about the deteriorating moral compass in our society caused by bogus traditional healers, Reconciliation Healing and Renewal - RHR Directorate in the Office of the Premier is to host the Provincial RHR Traditional Health Practitioners Summit at Rustenburg this week.

Traditional healers are concerned about illegal abortions performed and the discovery of fetuses in waste bins, penis enlargement service done and men having complications with their private parts as well as other wrong practices such as false promise of curing HIV/Aids, making people rich or bringing back lost lovers as advertised by these healers.

Acting Premier Wendy Nelson who will be accompanied by MEC for Culture, Arts and Traditional Affairs Ontlametse Mochware, will on the 15 June 2018, address the Summit which will discuss these illegal practices, come up with laws to regulate the practice, elect the provincial structure of the traditional healers and register all healers in the province.

The Summit will be held as follows:
Date: 14 - 15 June 2018
Venue: Rustenburg Recreational Centre
Time: 10H00

Members of the media are invited to cover the Summit ONLY on the 15th June 2018 and will be afforded an opportunity to engage Acting-Premier Wendy Nelson and MEC Ontlametse Mochware.
