Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) Stakeholders Sensitisation Seminar

The Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) invites members of the media to a media briefing session to be held during a one day seminar focusing on the implementation of the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) in South Africa. 

DAFF will host the Stakeholders Sensitisation Seminar in partnership with NEPAD Planning and Coordinating Agency (NPCA), Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) and other stakeholders. This aims to strengthen ongoing consultations with agricultural stakeholders on practical policies and programmes for agriculture-led socio-economic growth especially among smallholder farming communities and to kick start the CAADP implementation process.

CAADP is envisaged to add value to agricultural development in South Africa together with the country’s existing food security and poverty alleviation programmes.
