The KwaZulu-Natal office of the Electoral Commission will be hosting a workshop with community media in the province. The purpose of the workshop is to discuss the status on preparations for the 2011 municipal elections, but also the role of community media in the process.
Presentations will be done by Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) staff members on the legislative framework and electoral matters, civic/voter education communication strategies. External speakers will include representatives from the National Community Radio Forum (NCRF), Media Diversity Development Agency (MDDA) and Government.
