In line with Parliament’s oversight role, the Portfolio Committee on Correctional Services will undertake a visit to three correctional centres in Northern Cape and Gauteng from 25 to 27 July 2012.
During the visit, the Committee will, among other things, interact with offenders (both detainees and sentenced prisoners); inspect offender training and development facilities and also meet with Department of Correctional Services officials at the centres.
