Committee to receive report on anti-competitive conduct in food sector

Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Economic Development will tomorrow get a briefing from the Competition Commission on the progress report on investigations into and prosecution of firms in the food supply chain industry alleged to have engaged in various forms of anti-competitive conduct.

Also on the agenda for the meeting, will be a look at mechanisms to address the problem of high food prices in the country.

The committee will also have an opportunity to meet with the Parliamentary delegation from Zimbabwe.
