Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Mineral Resources will tomorrow receive briefings from the departments of mineral resources, labour, and Aurora, SBT Trust liquidators and labour unions on Aurora operations both in Orkney and Grootvlei Mines.
This meeting is a result of a two day public hearing on the Mining Charter held recently in Carltonville, Gauteng, and Klerksdorp, North West province. During those public hearings an issue regarding Aurora Mine was raised by the communities.
