Gauteng Health MEC Qedani Mahlangu will on 12 May 2015 lead the commemoration of the International Nurses Day at the Chief Mogale Hall, Kagiso, West Rand.
This day is commemorated worldwide during the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale. This year’s theme is: A Nurse: A Force for Change: for Care Effectiveness and Cost Effectiveness.
The MEC will address key and pressing issues affecting nursing and the quality of care in the Province. She will also report on efforts to improve the quality of care, ethics and professionalism and also key interventions that will shape the future of nursing so as to achieve the goal of “A health life for all”.
