It is the time of goodwill and sharing and unfortunately not everybody has the pleasure and joy to enjoy Christmas because of the circumstances they find themselves in. In view of this the Department of Social Development would like to share this time with the older persons and make them feel special.
The main purpose of the Christmas Party to is provide a platform where older persons can share the festive spirit in a joyous manner and where they can socialise with each other. We will also be providing health care check-ups in terms of their blood pressure, glucose levels etc.
Older persons from various older persons service centres and old age homes were invited to the Christmas Party.
