On Friday 4 March 2011, the predecessor General Officer Commanding of the Joint Operational Headquarters, Major-General Barney Norman Muntu Hlatshwayo, will handover the command baton to Major-General Dumisani Mdutyana at the parade which is scheduled to take place at 12h00 at the Department of Defence Logistic Formation in Pretoria.
Major-General Hlatshwayo has since been appointed as the Chief Director of Joint Operations Division, Major-General Mdutyana has been appointed as the general officer commanding of the joint operations headquarters.
