The Limpopo provincial government’s Justice, Crime Prevention and Security Cluster will host a build-up event towards the celebration of the 2011 Mandela Day which is scheduled as follows:

During this event, Dr Mathole Motshekga, the Parliamentary Chief Whip of the governing party, will present a paper on the legacy of the former president of the Republic of South Africa, Dr Nelson Mandela. Other highlights of this event will include the Acting Premier Ms Pinkie Kekana opening new soccer field to the facility. There will also be a soccer game between the team of the officials within the Correctional Services Centre and former professional soccer players. National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) – Limpopo Chapter will facilitate the painting of an orphanage in the area.
Some of the dignitaries who will attend this occasion include, the deputy minister of Correctional Services, Advocate Ngoako Ramahlodi and the First Lady of Limpopo, Ms Mokgadi Mathale. The renowned gospel vocalist, Ms Winnie Mashaba will attend in her capacity as the ambassador of both the Modimolle Correctional Services and the NYDA – Limpopo Chapter.
