Following a number of negative findings and qualified opinions by the Auditor-General on the department’s performance and financial management in the past years, the Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs, Edna Molewa has constituted a team of experts in various fields of organisational management to address the issues as raised by the Auditor-General.
This team which specialises in financial management strategies, organisational development, information technology solutions, Human Resource Development and turn around strategies in general will engage in a business performance re-engineering process for the department for a period of 12 months focusing on all the sore points identified in the Auditor-General’s findings.
The Minister therefore invites all media to a briefing to announce the initiative and all matters related to the department’s turnaround efforts in this regard.
