Members of the media are invited to attend and cover the awards ceremony held under the auspices of the Black Management Forum in the Northern Cape.
These excellence awards will be bestowed on women to recognise and honour them for their contribution to the economic development of the province through their political, business, arts, education, health, sports, science and technology, humanities and philantrophical endeavours.
Ms Dipuo Peters, who is the former Premier of the Northern Cape and now the Minister of Energy, will join several award recipients at the occasion which will be held in Kimberly. She has been nominated by BMF for showing the following leadership qualities:

Uplifting and raising awareness of exceptional leadership in the Northern Cape Province and nationally

BMF will also acknowledge and recognise her outstanding achievement in Community development, Political leadership and various other aspects in her past and present portfolios.
The event happens on the eve of Women's Month in August, a month in which the country celebrates the emancipation of women and drive programmes aimed at pushing back the frontiers of poverty, especially where women and children are concerned.
