The Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development invites the media on the Mma Tshepo Khumbane (MTK) awards ceremony. The awards recognise and reward individual, community and civil society organisations' best practices in the management of natural resources.
The awards encourage the use of indigenous knowledge in natural resource management, experiential training of learners in Land Care, land based livelihood projects, rehabilitation of dilapidated environments, sharing of experiences and new technologies in managing natural resources as well as creativity and innovation in natural resource management.
