Basic Education Deputy Minister visits Free State schools to improve results

Mohamed Enver Surty, the Basic Education Department Deputy Minister will tomorrow, on Tuesday, 18 May 2010 visits Motheo District schools in bid to improve performance.

The Deputy Minister will be accompanied by Free State MEC for Education Tate Makgeo.

The visit aim to create platform for discussion and debate amongst various education role players which include teachers, learners, parents and education department officials on how working together they can deliver quality education and improve grade 12 pass rate.

Details of the Deputy Minister schools visits are as follows:

* 07h40 to 09h05: Bainsvlei Combined School
* 09h10 to 10h45: Kopanong High School
* 10h50 to 12h45: Hodisa Technical High School

In addition the Deputy Minister will meet all Motheo District principals and officials at Tsoseletso High school at 13h00.
