Sports and Recreation South Africa has embarked on a programme that will take high profile athletes that have performed well internationally to communities in different provinces.
The programme kicked off in Limpopo in December, and the first province the Athlete Celebrations will visit in 2010 is Free State. The event is scheduled for 15 January in Bloemfontein.
The celebrations will culminate in a national event to be held in late March.
