You are cordially invited to attend a reception addressed by the Deputy Minister of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation Sue van der Merwe on the occasion of the United Nations (UN) Day.
The Department of International Relations and Cooperation has hosted a reception every year for the past seven years to commemorate UN Day and to highlight the importance of multilateralism and the United Nations for South Africa. This year, UN Day is commemorated as South Africa prepares to take up a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for a second term.
The occasion will be graced by the presence of the UN Resident Coordinator Dr Agostinho Zacarais.
