Accreditation for the 17th World Festival of Youth and Students

South Africa will host the 17th World Festival of Youth and Students (WFYS) in Tshwane, Gauteng from 13 – 21 December 2010 with the opening ceremony at the Moses Moripe Stadium and main conference activities at the Tshwane Events Centre. The WFYS is organised every four years in different countries all over the world and serves as a platform for young people across the globe to discuss critical issues in order to impact the shaping of policies of government and the world.

The WFYS is the most significant and important youth international event, because of the numbers of delegates it attracts all over the world and the issues it raises and the impact they have in shaping policies.

Members of the media who intend attending the World Festival of Youth and Students are requested to submit their names and surname, media house and ID/Passport numbers, and their roles (i.e. writers, cameraman, etc).

The deadline for submission is Tuesday 7 December 2010 at 15h00. A final WFYS programme will be unveiled to media and the public during a media briefing to follow next week.
