The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development in conjunction with other government department will embark on a one day service fair, which aims to bring services closer to the people while fast tracking service delivery.
The Department of Home Affairs, Housing, Health, South African Police Services (SAPS), Human Rights Commission, People Opposing Women Abuse and other government departments, will join the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development in showcasing their services to a community.
A service fair is a platform where government departments come together to offer services within an earmarked community.
Objectives of this event is to bring government services closer to the people, educate communities on the services available in government, to empower communities by providing information regarding government products and services and to improve the lives of the communities.
There will be a “Torch of Peace”, it is a symbol of the national campaign to combat violence against women and children.
