Free State Education MEC Tate Makgoe, together with officials from the Bobs for Good Foundation will be donating a 1 000 pairs of shoes to needy learners in 4 schools in the Xhariep district on Thursday, 24 March 2011 and Friday, 25 March 2011.
The donation of these shoes aims to restore the pride, dignity and hope of underprivileged learners by providing them with a pair of new, locally made, 100% leather school shoes. The Bobs for Good Foundation is a local non-profit, public beneficiary organisation that was founded by Former Springbok Captain, Bob Skinstad and his friend Ron Rutland. The following schools in the Xhariep district will be visited to donate shoes:
