The Minister of Health, Dr Manto Tshabalala-Msimang invites you to a
presentation on South Africa's Tuberculosis (TB) Crisis Plan and World TB Day
commemoration on Friday, 24 March 2006.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared TB a health emergency in
Sub-Sahara Africa. In response, the Health Department has drafted a crisis plan
that aims to address and eradicate TB in the country over the next few
years.
The Minister of Health together with senior government officials will
present the TB crisis plan at the King George V Hospital and thereafter proceed
to Folweni sports grounds, South of Durban to commemorate World TB Day.
