The Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Mr Malusi Gigaba, will embark on a
two-day outreach programme in Barberton, Mpumalanga, from 13 - 14 July
2006.
Mr Gigaba will participate in various activities as part of the Department's
resolve to take services closer to the people. As part of the visit, the Deputy
Minister will hold a series of meetings with stakeholders in the province to
discuss access to home affairs services and their role in such an
endeavour.
The two-day programme is as follows:
1. Thursday, 13 July 2006
Venue: Barberton Prison
Event: Delivery of Identity Documents (IDs) to juveniles
Time: 08h00
2. Friday, 14 July 2006
2.1 Venue: St John Mission
Event: Delivery of rectified documents
Time: 08h00
2.2 Venue: Lowscreek (outside Barberton)
Event: Mass registration for enabling documents
Time: 13h00
