Provincial Minister for Transport and Public Works, Marius Fransman, will
lay a wreath at 6pm today, where Shireen Scholtz, four, was knocked down and
killed on Sunday.
Shireen was celebrating her fourth birthday yesterday and was crossing the
R44 when a speeding car knocked her. Minister Fransman will be accompanied by
road engineers who will look at ways of making the notorious road safer. The
wreath laying will take place on the R44 between Porterville and
Clanwilliam.
