The joint efforts of the KwaZulu-Natal Education Department, the Royal
Netherlands Embassy and the Media in Education Trust will reduce the negative
impact of HIV and AIDS on 91 impoverished rural communities by empowering 728
schools and their parent communities to deal specifically with HIV and AIDS and
health-related issues. The programme has been funded by the Royal Netherlands
Embassy and will be managed by the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education and
the Media in Education Trust.

Directions: N3 to Port Shepstone and take turn-off onto N2 Main Harding
Road. Follow the road for 38km and turn left at the sign to Port Edward Road.
Follow signs to Mshweshwe High.
The celebratory launch is expected to be attended by some 1350 guests,
comprising of educators and stakeholders involved in the project, members of
the community districts, dignitaries, representatives of National and
Provincial government, the Netherlands Ambassador, HE Mr Frans Engering, donor
agencies and their managing agents, amongst others.
