The Gauteng MEC for Social Development Mr Kgaogelo Lekgoro will hand out
school uniforms to destitute and orphaned children at Ramotse Village,
Hammanskraal. The MEC will be accompanied by the Mayor of Tshwane to hand over
school uniforms to about 144 children who all attend school at Lebelo Primary
in Hammanskraal.
This will be the third year MEC Lekgoro hands out uniforms where about 86
000 beneficiaries are expected to receive free uniforms this year. Previously
the department handed out uniforms to 80 000 (2008) beneficiaries, up from 72
000 in 2007.
