Johannesburg: Transport Minister Jeff Radebe will undertake a site visit and
inspection of the Gautrain Rapid Rail construction sites as part of the October
Transport month campaign to look at transport systems readiness for the 2010
Soccer World Cup.
The Minister will be joined by the Gauteng MEC for Public Transport,
Ignatius Jacobs, senior officials from both national and provincial departments
of transport and executives of transport agencies and entities.
During the visit, the Minister and the MEC will take the entourage and
members of the media through the underground tunnel construction area and other
sites in the Rosebank and Park Station area.
